89 Businesses Honored for Investment in Grant County

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 89 Businesses Honored for Investment in Grant County

MARION, INDIANA, Thursday April 18th 2019—
Eighty-nine Grant County businesses were honored at the 2019 Investor Appreciation Luncheon at the Tomahawk Lounge at Meshingomesia Golf Club. Over twenty years, the Grant County Economic Growth Council and STAR Financial Bank have honored 2.7 billion dollars of total investment in Grant County. Each year, the tradition of honoring each company that invests $25,000 or more continues.

“It is exciting to honor our many local business partners. 89 local businesses made a total of $93 million in capital investments in 2018.” Brett Carey, president of the Growth Council and market president of STAR Financial Bank, speaks of the event. “The continued investment and confidence in Grant County by these businesses is pivotal to the long-term success of our community.”

Since the organization’s inception in 1984, the Growth Council’s mission has been to “facilitate investment and reinvestment in Grant County.” The Growth Council believes it is crucial to honor those that continue to invest and grow their companies in Grant County. Whether belonging to the manufacturing, healthcare, retail, or food services industry, all 89 companies make Grant County a better place for its residents to live, work, and play. Thanks to the investment of these companies, Grant County has more employment opportunities, higher quality public services, increased philanthropy, more entertainment and fine dining options, and more incentive to continue to boost the local economy.

Tim Eckerle, Executive Director of the Growth Council, gave the closing speech. “If your company makes an investment over the year or you know of a company making a significant investment, please let us know.” Eckerle urged. “It is our priority to honor every investment made in Grant County. Whether it is $25,000 or 1 million dollars, each investment is important.”
