Economic Development is More Important Than Ever

MARION, INDIANA, Friday June 12th, 2020 – In this time of uncertainty—business closures, stay-at-home orders, economic distress, political poliriziation, and racial unreset— the Growth Council’s mission to “To promote a vibrant, sustainable economy that attracts and empowers business growth and innovation” is more important than ever.

The Growth Council stands ready to help Grant County recover from the economic crisis caused by COVID-19. We are working to maintain strong connections with our local business community, understand their workforce needs, and help our state recover. For over 37 years, the Growth Council has been dedicated to connecting closely with the local business community and working to attract and retain the Grant County tax base: all critical activities in helping communities claw back from the coronavirus crisis.

Recently, Mikayla and Tim had the opportunity to be featured on Indiana Economic Development’s Association podcast series “Economic Development is More Important Than Ever”! Click here to listen today.

All of the Growth Council’s COVID-19 response tools and programs can be found on our Grant County COVID-19 Response Page Here.

We—Tim Eckerle, Mikayla Marazzi, and the Growth Council board—want to listen to the needs of our community and response accordingly. If you have questions about economic recovery resources, business financial assistance, workforce development, Grant County data, entrepreurship, business planning, or anything related to living and working in Grant County… please do not hesitate to reach out to us. The Growth Council team exists to listen to YOUR needs and help connect YOU to resources. If we don’t know the answer, we will connect you to someone who does!
