Celebrating Tim Eckerle's Successful Leadership with the Growth Council

MARION, INDIANA, Friday, April 17th, 2020 – Tim Eckerle has been the Growth Council’s only director since its establishment in 1984. Throughout his tenure, Eckerle has developed and guided the Growth Council’s mission to foster economic development in Grant County. His work was instrumental in bringing almost two dozen employers to Grant County, along with more than $2 billion in modernization and expansion of existing businesses.

Some accolades of Eckerle and the Growth Council include bringing Café Valley’s 283,000-square-foot facility to Marion and welcoming Ozark Materials and AVG North America to the county.  Under Eckerle’s leadership, the Growth Council has launched several entrepreneurial projects, including the I-69 Collegiate Innovation Challenge, in partnership with local universities. Eckerle has also received the Honorary Secretary of Commerce Award and the Distinguished Hoosier Award from Governor Holcomb. He has received other prestigious titles, including one of the top 50 economic developers in North America from Consultant Connect and one of the Top Ten Young Economic Developers.
