Celebrating Black-Owned Businesses in Grant County
Juneteenth is an important day of remembrance for the freedom that African Americans received in 1865 after generations of sanctioned enslavement.
We, at the Grant County Economic Growth Council, recognize the significance of this day and choose to honor it by praising the progress that has been made in our local community, economy, and society at large. As we celebrate the opportunity for all individuals to be a part of our business community, we remain committed to actions, not words.
To kick off our efforts, we’ve gathered a list of black-owned businesses in Grant County as well as black business leaders to celebrate their progress in the community. In doing so, we hope to begin to gather a more robust repository of all black-owned businesses in our community and call attention to their success, as well as continue to be champions of collaboration and opportunity with each of them that cross our path in the future.
We recognize that this list is not yet all-encompassing, so if you know of a black-owned business or business leader not listed, we’d love to meet them and get connected. Please send submissions directly to jbeyioku@grantcounty.com.
