One-mile Walking Trail Opens in Upland

On Saturday, October 12th, the Upland Area Greenways Association (UAGA) dedicated a mile-long Upland Trail at the Detamore Trailhead. The UAGA completed its first goal to create a more walkable community in Upland.  The trail’s completion provides a vital first step toward the UAGA’s second, future goal: connecting the Upland Trail to the Cardinal Greenway.

Join the UAGA, Our Town Upland, and the Chamber of Commerce on Friday, October 18th, for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Detamore Trailhead just south of the Main Street bridge in Upland. Before the event, children are welcome to join a bike-decorating competition at 5 p.m. Enjoy strolling the trailhead until sundown!

The Grant County Economic Growth Council is pleased with the UAGA’s success in making Upland an even better place to live!
