IWU and the City of Marion Converge for an Upcoming Event “Why Marion?”

Tuesday, February 27 2018 (MARION, IN) – The Growth Council and IWU’s Student Government Association are collaborating to host “Why Marion?” a conversation between IWU and the City of Marion.

“Why Marion?” will feature 30 people from the IWU and Marion Community. Marion Mayor Jess Alumbaugh will open the event and variety of community members, students, alumni, and faculty will follow speaking on why they choose to be in Marion.

“Why Marion?” will seek to answer the questions: Why are we all here? Why do you study here? Why do you work here? Why is IWU in Marion? Why does place matter?

This event will explore the importance of place and the complex, evolving relationship between IWU and the City of Marion. This event seeks to educate IWU students on the City of Marion as well as increase interaction and harmony between IWU and the City of Marion.

“Why Marion?” will take place this Wednesday, February 28th at 7pm in the Globe Theatre of IWU’s Student Center. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
