Thursday, April 19, 2018 (Marion, IN) – At 8:00am tomorrow morning, Ivy Tech Community College and the Grant County Economic Growth Council, in collaboration with Project Leadership, will be hosting the 2nd Annual Grant County Manufacturing Job Fair.
Students will have the opportunity to tour Ivy Tech; gain trade information; participate in hands-on demonstrations; and meet and network with employers. In total, 119 students will be attending from Mississinewa, Blackford, Oak Hill, Madison Grant, Eastbrook, and Marion Community Schools.
Many Grant County companies will be present at the job fair: Advanced Cabinet Systems, American Woodmark, Hartson Kennedy, Bahr Brother, Cafe Valley, Huhtamaki, Petoskey Plastics, Walmart Distribution Center, and more. Each company represented has current job openings, thus students will have the opportunity to walk away with actual employment.
To ensure successful outcomes, Project Leadership has diligently gone into each school and helped train students for interviews. The Growth Council, Project Leadership, and Ivy Tech believe the 2018 Job Fair will successfully connect students to employers—therefore, empowering students to make productive steps towards a career field and connecting employers to talented individuals.
